Crosswalk, Sidewalk Improvements to Begin Next Week on College Place

As the weather allows, construction workers will begin work on College Place next week installing crosswalks and making improvements to sidewalks and curb ramps.

The crosswalks will be installed at the intersection of College Place, Euclid Avenue and Sims Drive. The intersection will remain open for the duration of the work, but single lanes will be closed at times. Those using the intersection are asked to use caution and follow the instructions of flaggers.

To facilitate the work, the bus stop for Centro bus routes will be relocated to Comstock Avenue. University trolleys will continue to pick up and drop off riders on College Place.

The work being done to sidewalks and curb ramps along College Place is expected to take two weeks, finishing up on or before Friday, Aug. 18. Accessible pedestrian routes will be maintained during the repair work. Please follow pedestrian detour signage.
